MUMBAI RISING – The growth of Mumbai from seven separate islands to one of the world’s biggest cities can be charted through the lens of landmarks that have come and gone, as well as those that are still standing or are just taking shape. Each of these has left a lasting impression on a city that never stops rising and surging ahead. This is the inspiration behind MUMBAI RISING, a public art initiative supported by Birla Estates to beautify Mumbai’s iconic P. B. Marg in Worli. Featuring ten murals by ten talented artists and art collectives, it’s a loving tribute to this iconic city and its ever-transforming landscape.
